How The Private Vault proves an image is real

How The Private Vault proves an image is real — The Private Vault

Three things make a Private Vault image provable: a public serial engraved in the scene, a public register anyone can check, and a private key only the owner holds.

The serial

Every image receives one serial when it is generated, in the form TPV-XXXX-XXXX, engraved into the scene so it travels with the picture. No two images share a serial and a serial is never reissued.

The Vault Register

The Vault Register is public and free. It answers whether The Private Vault issued a serial, in which collection and on what date; it never shows who holds the file. Example: TPV-BV8F-447C, I'm Rich, issued 8 September 2026, active. If a serial is not in the register, we did not sell it.

The AUTH key

With the file, the owner receives a private AUTH key. Entering serial and key on the register page confirms the match without displaying either. Anyone can check a serial exists; only the key holder can prove the file is theirs.

Copies and screenshots

A screenshot carries our serial because the serial is in the picture; it does not carry the AUTH key and is not the original file. The image is meant to be seen, the proof is meant to be held.

What we deliberately do not use

No blockchain, no NFT, no third-party certificate. The register is operated by TPV Digital Arts, LLC and is the only source of truth for our serials.
